Morehouse College and Spelman College have officially trademarked the wordmark “SpelHouse,” a phrase most identified with the institutions’ joint homecoming activities but symbolic of the historic bond between these two, single-gender, liberal arts colleges.
To celebrate the occasion, Morehouse and Spelman have partnered with the Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC) and ProStandard on a limited-edition capsule collection, now available for purchase in both colleges’ on-campus and online bookstores.
As the term was coined by their communities, in the coming weeks, the institutions will launch a design competition for the artwork for the official SpelHouse logo. Exclusive to student, alumni, and employee participation, the contest welcomes creative submissions that capture the history of SpelHouse while helping to define its future visual identity.
