Joe White
Joe wasn’t just my childhood basketball coach, he was a mentor, a role model, and a community pillar. He taught us how to think smarter, not just play harder and he taught us how to hold ourselves accountable on and off the court.
He believed in us before we believed in ourselves, and his impact still lives in everything I do today; as a coach, a mentor, and a man.
Joe died before the age of 40 and achieved so much. He was a local hero who changed lives quietly but powerfully.
Michael Jordan
Jordan inspired me to fall in love with the game and the process in striving for greatness; the relentless work, the focus, the attention to detail.
From his mindset to his logo and signature shoes , Jordan’s influence was everywhere. He set the standard for excellence, not just in basketball, but in life.
To this day, his legacy reminds me that greatness isn’t an act; it’s a habit.
