This Indigenous People’s Day, we honor the ongoing fight for American Indian Civil Rights alongside ai_heritageday. Now in its 13th year, American Indian Heritage Day in Texas focused on urban Native identity, moving beyond education toward greater visibility and action. Panels addressed the lack of Indigenous landmarks in our cities and called for a stronger, tangible presence to honor original inhabitants.
