Artist iris.haeussler sees the world in patterns — the fractals of grasses, the shimmer of water, the play of light on glass. At a lakefront home on Lake Simcoe, she deployed that gaze for a bigger purpose: creating a design that protects migratory birds while revealing the home’s beauty. In collaboration with Feather Friendly, Iris created a site-specific installation where windows once posed danger. Now, that glass has become a canvas, breaking up deadly reflections and offering birds a safe passage.
