King Charles has become the first head of the Church of England to pray publicly with the Pope.
The pair joined a service in the Vatican's Sistine Chapel in a symbolic display of unity between the Catholic Church and Church of England.
Prior to the service, the King and Queen had a private audience with Pope Leo who became the pontiff five months ago.
The monarch is supreme governor of the Church of England, and has been a longstanding campaigner for building bridges between faith.
Queen Camilla has kept to the traditional dress code of women wearing black when they meet the Pope as a sign of respect.
