Are we ready for this conversation?
Every Saturday, after the flag football game, we find ourselves reinforcing to our 9 year old that it’s not about winning and losing. We ask some key questions regardless of the outcome of the game:
What can we celebrate?
Did you have fun?
Did you feel connected to your team?
Did you improve on your own skills? What do you want to work on personally?
And it’s all a start - to combat what we know is relayed to him on the field due to the sheer nature of the sport and competitive culture.
