This week, Sephardic heat meets Ashkenazi comfort in the ultimate Shabbat slow burn β Cholent, Hamin, KosherQB style.
Directions:
1οΈβ£ Mix beans, potatoes, barley, onions & garlic with your go-to spices β salt, pepper, paprika, cumin (add onion/garlic powder too). A drizzle of maple syrup for sweetness β some even add a touch of ketchup.
2οΈβ£ Spice and sear your beef flanken or chuck cubes with onions.
3οΈβ£ Combine everything in the crock pot, fill with water to the top, and drop in whole eggs (the Sephardic touch).
4οΈβ£ Let it slow cook overnight β and serve with a sprinkle of cumin.
