Spinal cord injuries don’t only happen in wild accidents or extreme sports. They can happen to anyone, at any age, in the most ordinary moments. I was 18 when my accident happened in 2008. One minute I was just living life — the next, everything changed. September is Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month. I’m sharing one video daily not to scare you, but to remind you: life can shift in an instant, and people like me are living proof that it doesn’t end there. You can go on to live a full and joyful life. Yes there will be challenges, but impossible is nothing. Awareness matters. Representation matters.
