6-7 but make it challah!I”🤲🏼”
Getting my boys to help me bake my weekly challah was surprisingly easy, I told them it would only take 6–7 minutes to prep, and suddenly I had a full kitchen crew! 😎
We used sivanskitchen’s delicious, allergy-friendly, egg-free recipe that’s as simple as it is sweet. Since the boys have a sesame seed allergy, we swapped the seeds for cinnamon and sugar and honestly, I think we’ve started a new family tradition.
Challah Recipe:
5 Ib.bag of all purpuse flour
2 cups of sugar
4.5 tbsp. of dry active yeast
5 tsp. salt
2/3 cup of oil (any oil of your choice.)
4 to 4.5 cups of warm water
Add all ingredients to bowl.
Knead until play-doh like texture.
Roll into ball, drizzle oil on top,
cover with Saran Wrap & damp towel.
Let rise.
Take a piece of dough and recite blessing.
Braid, add your favorite topping.
Bake at 350 until golden brown!
