Death Certificate is the second studio album by
#IceCube, released on October 29, 1991, through Priority Records.
The album debuted at number two on the U.S. Billboard 200, selling 105,000 copies in its first week, and entered at number one on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. On December 20, 1991, just two months after its release, Death Certificate was certified platinum by the RIAA for surpassing one million copies sold.
As of March 2020, the album has sold over two million copies in the United States. In 2003, Priority Records re-released Death Certificate with the bonus track “How to Survive in South Central,” originally featured on the Boyz n the Hood soundtrack.
