Want to own a piece of the Iowa State Fair? Say, one of the colorful Sky Gliders that have had fairgoers soaring through the air for more than 50 years? Now you can. The Iowa State Fair recently announced an auction of more than 700 items through Daugherty Auction and Real Estate Services. The auction began on Monday, Oct. 27, and closes Thursday, Nov. 6. Featured items include horse barn stall doors, livestock pens and gates, vintage displays, and various vehicles, along with "many odds and ends from the Iowa State Fairgrounds," according to the auctioneers.
