Here’s a communication tip that’s been a gamechanger!Â
Whenever I’m about to share something — whether it’s on stage, online, or in my study at home — I swap chairs in my head.
I ask myself…
 “How does this sound to a single parent?
 To someone battling illness?
 To someone going through a divorce or bankruptcy?
 To someone older, or someone just starting out?”
If it sounds simplistic, judgmental, naïve, or out of touch — I don’t say it.
 I go back and rework it until it feels human, balanced, and empathetic.
Because leadership, communication, and influence all begin with the ability to sit in someone else’s chair before you speak.
