One night of football has sparked weeks of debate and outrage.
No Maccabi Tel Aviv fans will be allowed to attend their Europa league match away to Aston Villa.
The game had been classed as “high risk” by West Midlands Police, with Birmingham’s Safety Advisory Group taking the decision to block fans from the Israeli club from attending.
That decision was called a ‘national disgrace’ and ‘wrong’ by politicians. Maccabi Tel Aviv fans are asking, why us?
