HOW TO MAKE HOMEMADE ALMOND FLOUR from @kalejunkie! I’ve talked about this before, but sharing it again because someone asked. And to be clear, I do buy store bought almond flour in a pinch—it’s convenient and I make a high volume of recipes and I’m often short on time. But just like you, I like to save money and make it myself sometimes. It tastes fresher!⁣ ⁣ I did a cost comparison at my local grocery store and discovered that it costs about $11-14 to buy a 1 pound bag, but about $6-10 (maybe less depending on where you shop) to make it yourself. ⁣ ⁣ Note: since I am using whole almonds with the skin on, the color will be darker than if I was using blanched almonds (with the skin removed). So technically we are making almond MEAL, which is totally fine for your baking purposes.
