Iowa state officials are seeking up to $1 billion in federal funds to transform rural health care by building a health care model that envisions regional collaboration between providers and rural areas. Gov. Kim Reynolds said Wednesday, Nov. 5 that the state has submitted its application for the Rural Health Transformation Program, a federal funding initiative managed by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services that was created in Republicans' tax and spending law dubbed the "big, beautiful bill."
