Sac State faculty, staff, and students joined thecsu Office of Tribal Relations in the 2nd Annual California Native American Parade on Saturday at the State Capitol.
Hornets, along with students from the California State Universities of San Marcos, Long Beach, and San Bernardino were among nearly 1,000 parade participants from tribes all over the state marking
#NativeAmericanHeritageMonth.
Students proudly carried a banner for Sac State’s new Wileety Native American College, the first of its kind in California.
The University celebrates Native American Heritage Month, honoring the rich histories, traditions, cultures, and contributions of Native American people across the United States. The final home football game on Saturday, Nov. 15 is Native American Heritage Night.
