The Poolesville Road Race on April 26, 2025 hosted by @natcapveloclub. It rained steadily overnight and throughout the morning. The difference in weather and road conditions between the late morning women’s races and the men’s 1/2/3 and master’s races a couple hours later was dramatic. More photos in Flickr album link in bio. Pics 1-7: The faces of riders in the women’s races mid-day show how difficult the conditions were, and how tough the riders were through it all. Yet it was all smiles after the race. Pic 8: Local teenager puts in an impressive performance and solos off the front to win the women’s 1/2/3 race. Pics 9-10: Feed zone on Westerly Rd. The success rate for bottle hand offs wasn’t that great. This one went perfectly. Pics 11-16: The men’s 1/2/3 and master’s races.
