After recently securing a direct flight to Houston, the head of the Chattanooga Airport said officials would love to eventually woo airlines into establishing nonstop connections from Lovell Field to Denver, Minneapolis, Philadelphia and Orlando, Florida. Chattanooga Airport officials regularly meet with airlines in an effort to encourage them to open up new destinations. Cameron said leaders participate in two or three "speed dating" events per year in which they pitch Chattanooga to individual airlines.
