The Byron R. Meyer Collection is a remarkable testament to one of the Bay Area’s most discerning collectors and devoted patrons of the arts.
Led by the rare and important 1966 ‘Fig. 6–A Lamb for Pylaochos: Herko, N.Y. ’64: Translation
#16’ by Jess and Cady Noland’s striking ‘Cowboy Eating with Shoulder Hole’ from 1990, the collection also includes exceptional works by Richard Diebenkorn, Elizabeth Peyton, George Condo, Robert Ryman and Robert Arneson, among others.
In continuation of his extraordinary legacy, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of works from The Byron R. Meyer Collection will benefit the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, further supporting the institution and city that was closest to his heart.
