Meet Frances Lightbound, a fifth-floor architecture-inspired visual artist known for her screenprints and installation work! 🎨🪟🧱 Born in the U.K., franbound has called Chicago home since receiving her MFA from the School of the Art Institute. She goes between (and combines) printmaking, photography, sculpture, and installations to explore the impact of urban environments. Her work features found materials and a big architectural influence, questioning the relationships between time, bodies, and buildings. Frances’s installations often feature architectural elements screen printed onto fiberglass window screen meshes, creating liminal images that shift with the light. We love her creativity and architectural inspiration! First photo courtesy of Rule Gallery. Other photos courtesy of the artist.
