We teamed up with kelseyelizabethcakes and tasteofhome to celebrate one of our favorite holiday rituals: the cookie exchange. Kelsey brought a crowd-favorite: brown sugar cookies!
They’re soft, chewy, and just the right kind of nostalgic. And yes, they pair beautifully with a chilled glass of Korbel California Champagne. (Cookie in one hand, flute in the other? Yes, please!)🥂

Ingredients:
• 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
• 1 large egg
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 cup + 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
• 1/2 tsp baking soda
• 1 tsp fine salt
Instructions:
- Cream butter and sugars for 2 minutes.
- Mix in egg and vanilla.
- In another bowl, combine dry ingredients. Add to butter mixture and stir until just combined.
- Scoop dough into balls.
- Bake on a parchment-lined sheet at 350°F for 9–12 minutes.
- Cool on the pan a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
