Iowa's Republican U.S. House and Senate members joined their colleagues in approving legislation requiring the federal government to release its full files on deceased serial sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The final House vote on the Epstein Files Transparency Act was 427-1. U.S. Rep. Clay Higgins of Louisiana was the sole no vote. Iowa's U.S. Reps. Mariannette Miller-Meeks, Ashley Hinson, Zach Nunn and Randy Feenstra all voted in favor of the bill, even though none of them signed the discharge petition that forced the House to vote on the measure. U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra, who represents the 4th Congressional District in western Iowa, did not immediately release a statement following the vote.
