We’ve got some new followers, so allow us to re-introduce ourselves! 👋 We’re a home for art in all forms and have been one of Chicago’s artistic havens since 1898! Originally built in 1885 as a showroom and factory for Studebaker Carriage Company, the building was remodeled and reopened in 1898 as the Fine Arts Building, including the Studebaker Theater. Since then, thousands of artists and social clubs have made it a thriving creative hub, people like Frank Lloyd Wright, Lorado Taft, Harriet Monroe, Anna Morgan, William W. Denslow, the Lyendecker brothers, and a plethora of others.  Today, the Fine Arts Building continues to be a home for all artforms. Painters, musicians, sculptors, yoga studios, puppeteers, therapists, writers, coaches, theatermakers, craftspeople, luthiers, and more make their art here, and we couldn’t be more proud of the creativity found in our rich history and thriving present.  You can meet many of those artists on Second Fridays, our monthly open studios ...
