Lee Soon-jae (born October 10, 1934 – passed away November 25, 2025) was one of South Korea’s most respected and enduring actors. His death in the early morning of 25 November marks the end of a significant chapter in Korean performing arts history.
Since his debut in 1956, Lee’s presence shaped generations of theatre and screen actors. Known for his profound voice, commanding expression, and unwavering passion, he brought unforgettable depth to every role he played.
Beyond acting, Lee also served as a National Assembly member, dedicating himself to the advancement of Korean culture and the arts.
