Since 1992, the Elton John AIDS Foundation has over $650 million (with matching grants, they’ve surpassed $1 billion) — but the British singer is upset that the epidemic is being overshadowed by other global crises and stigmas towards the LGBTQ community. “You know, there’s a big war that’s being settled, hopefully,” he says, referring to Gaza “But there’s a war with even more people involved, people who are suffering from HIV and AIDS that should be able to get their medicine but can’t, because governments won’t let them.
