The nation’s largest supporter of the arts and humanities, the Mellon Foundation, gave San Francisco State University a $2 million grant to revitalize the disability studies minor program. Half of the grant will establish two new tenure-track faculty positions with specific expertise in disability studies, one in the School of Design and one in the College of Ethnic Studies. The schools are currently searching for candidates nationwide to teach courses in the disability studies minor.
