Today, an estimated 1.3 billion people live with a significant disability.
No one understands the needs of persons with disabilities better than they do themselves.
“Around the world, people with disabilities face countless barriers every day — not just the physical ones, but the invisible walls of bias, judgment, silence, and exclusion,” says disability rights activist and SDG Advocate Muniba Mazari.
To achieve a more inclusive and accessible world, people with disabilities must have a seat at decision-making tables.
“Real change begins when we place disability inclusion at the centre of social progress,” adds Muniba Mazari.
