The FBI has arrested a man in connection with two pipe bombs that were planted outside the Democratic National Committee and Republican National Committee headquarters the night before the Jan. 6 Capitol riot in 2021. Attorney General Pam Bondi identified the suspect as Brian Cole Jr., a 30-year-old from Woodbridge, Virginia, located just outside Washington, D.C. Cole was charged with use of an explosive device, Bondi said, adding that more charges were possible in the investigation, which was still active and ongoing. U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro said the investigation was “like finding a needle in a haystack”. The arrest follows a nearly five-year manhunt and the offer of a $500,000 reward.
