It’s officially Christmastime at Canisius. Our Christmas tree arrived this week – a 14-foot Douglas fir from Domes Tree Farm in the Wyoming County hamlet of Bliss – with the great elbers_gardencenter staff raising it high to the ceiling of the Higgins Hall foyer before students did the tree-trimming. On Friday, students will help our great CHSPA distribute wreaths and poinsettias from its annual fundraising sale, Sunday hundreds will visit for our special Grandparents Day Mass and brunch, and on Monday our school community will celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. Tuesday evening marks the CHS Fine Arts Department’s annual performance of “A Festival of Lessons and Carols.” All are welcome at 7 p.m. at St. Louis Church, 35 Edward St., Buffalo (at intersection of Edward and Main).
