Holiday Desserts pt2: Christmas Crack! 🍫 probably the easiest one you can make!
I’ve seen this trending online and had made a matzo version before, but this one is arguably more fun hehe ❤️
Ingredients:
-40-60 saltine crackers
-1 cup unsalted butter
-1 cup brown sugar
-12 oz mini chocolate chips
-1/4 tsp flakey sea salt
-mini m&m’s
Preheat oven to 400F. Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat and place saltine crackers on top; you may need to break some in half to cover the entire surface. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and add sugar. Stir constantly using a wooden spoon. Using a candy thermometer, allow the toffee to reach 290°F and remove it from heat — if you don’t have one allow the toffee to bubble up for around 2 minutes and make sure the sugar is dissolved.
