Did you know, darker pigments in beauty products can feel different because they each have unique attributes. Here is a throwback video from when we hosted an educational workshop with @bareMinerals about their iconic formulas! (Which we are so excited to see what they do with their reflections and focus group learnings from our time together with community ❤️) But this video is more an educational moment which is valid for pigments in foundation in general, both liquid and powder. Some are actually naturally rougher or heavier than others, and the way the materials blend together ultimately create the final feeling on skin. Deeper colors usually have a coarser texture compared to lighter pigments, which can make them feel less smooth on skin. I think this is most noticeable in products like eyeshadow, where certain dark shades can feel drier or more difficult to blend.
