Doorbell footage shows an Indiana DoorDash driver spraying an unknown substance onto a food delivery order. The driver could face charges related to food and/or product tampering, according to Vanderburgh County Sheriff Noah Robinson.
When Mark Cardin’s wife began eating the order, he told Inside Edition she started coughing and gasping — to the point of throwing up.
“I noticed that there were some type of spray on the bag,” he said. “That’s when I went back and watched the footage from my doorbell camera and realized that the food had been tampered with.”
In a statement to CBS News, DoorDash said it is cooperating with law enforcement, and revoked the driver’s access to its platform.
“We have absolutely zero tolerance for this type of appalling behavior,” the statement read.
