Product vs. brand: BMW. ㅤ Truth is, it depends entirely on which model you’re talking about. ㅤ The BMW M2. Product. ㅤ Almost 500 horsepower for less than what people spend on bland luxury SUVs. Still under 4,000 pounds in 2025. This is genuine engineering excellence, not just a badge. ㅤ The X5. Product again. ㅤ Not as sharp as a Cayenne or as plush as a Genesis, but it hits the middle perfectly. ㅤ Price is fair for what it is, and it looks great. ㅤ The Z4. You’re buying the brand. ㅤ It looks sporty but doesn’t really feel like a true sports car unless you upgrade to the six-cylinder. And once you do that, you’re in $70k territory. If you want the B58, go buy a Supra. ㅤ The 330i. Brand. ㅤ It’s cool, but at the end of the day it's a standard four-cylinder sedan with premium tech. For 50 grand, you’re basically getting a nicer Honda Accord. And Consumer Reports consistently ranks BMW low for reliability, which isn’t what you want in a daily. ㅤ The XM. Brand again. ㅤ This thing costs $160k...
