Lupins are in full bloom in New Zealand, and I’ve made a Google Maps list with the best places to see them 👀 Comment ‘pins’ below if you’d like me to send it to you! If you’re doing a road trip in NZ, the Tekapo -> Twizel -> Pukaki loop is the ultimate lupin trail, combining mountains, lakes and endless fields of flowers. It’s a gorgeous little route to go lupin spotting in December! You can see lupins from late November - early January. But December is usually the most reliable month 👌🏼 Try get to the spots for sunrise or sunset for the best lupin photos, and don’t pick them or trample the flowers (it’s crazy how many people you see do this!). There are lots of trails & paths through the lupin fields, so you can enjoy them without touching.
