Senior foil squad leader, lou.oy (Renee Oymann) and fellow economics major Harshini Nuti “participated in Temple University’s inaugural Public Policy Lab Challenge, a university-wide competition inviting students to propose innovative policy solutions to urgent health issues in Philadelphia and Pennsylvania. Selected as 1 of only 5 finalist teams out of more than 20 submissions, they presented to a panel of judges and earned 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐝 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 for their proposal addressing Philadelphia’s high maternal morbidity rates. While other undergraduates made it to the finals, Harshini and Renee were 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞.” We are so proud of you Renee! #studentathlete #fencing
