Happy Monday. This is my Persian poem of the week. “چه خوش گفت پیغمبرِ راست‌گوی / ز گهواره تا گور دانش بجوی” A line preserved by Ferdowsi in the Shahnama, quoting a saying attributed to the Prophet Muhammad. Its meaning is simple, but not small: learning should never end. Whatever your age. However you live. Knowledge is not reserved for a certain class of people, or a particular stage of life. In this tradition, seeking knowledge is a moral duty, continuous, shared, and lifelong. A good reminder to start the week. #history #poetry #persian
