Kawasaki is working on a real-life robot “horse” called Corleo, a four-legged walking machine designed to carry people over rough terrain. The hydrogen-powered concept uses four independent robotic legs with rubber hooves and inward-facing knees so it can pick its way across rocks, grass and even rubble while the rider steers with handlebars and body movements.
The company says Corleo blends its motorcycle tech with robotics and could one day carry up to two people, using onboard AI and a digital dashboard to monitor balance, route and hydrogen levels. It is still only a concept with no release date, but a full-scale mockup is being shown at the Osaka-Kansai Expo 2025.
