A new study published in The Lancet suggests something as simple as regular walks could make a big difference for people who struggle with back pain. Researchers found that adults who walked at least three times a week had about half the risk of their lower back pain coming back compared with those who did not follow a walking routine.
The walks did not have to be intense workouts either. The key was consistency and building up to a comfortable, moderate pace that kept people moving over time. As always, anyone with existing pain or medical issues should talk to a doctor before changing their routine, but this adds to growing evidence that gentle movement can be one of the best tools for managing back health.
How many times a week do you actually get out and walk?
