We again experienced a wonderful Christmastime evening of music and fun Tuesday as we welcomed another great edition of the BPO at CHS.  The outstanding buffalophilharmonicorchestra performed “Christmas Classics with the BPO” before in front of a sold-out Scaccia Auditorium, which was built 100 years ago for just this kind of fine arts experience.  Conducted by Grant O’Brien, the BPO’s JoAnn Falletta Conducting Fellow, the orchestra performed several holiday pieces and Christmas carols, including several featuring the beautiful voice of soprano Kathleen Bassett. The BPO were welcomed by principal Tom Coppola ’01 and closed with “A Holly and Jolly Sing-Along” led by Bassett. The BPO has performed its holiday concert at Canisius for three straight Decembers, thanks to the support of some of our great CHS benefactors.
