The Aggie Ring stands as one of Texas A&M University’s most enduring and meaningful traditions — a symbol of academic achievement, integrity and connection to the Aggie Network. First introduced in 1889 and designed by E.C. Jonas, Class of 1894, the Aggie Ring has remained largely unchanged for more than a century. Each element is rich with symbolism: the shield represents the protection of the university’s good name, the eagle embodies strength and the pursuit of excellence and the five stars signify an Aggie’s development in mind, body, spirit, emotional poise and integrity of character. #AggieRingDay #AggieTradition #AggieNetwork #TAMU | 53 comments on LinkedIn
