Morning Recovery

On my days off from training, recovery is the priority
but I keep it simple. Cold exposure first thing in the morning stimulates dopamine and norepinephrine, improving mood, focus, and stress resilience for hours after. A calm coffee and nourishing breakfast support cortisol rhythm and energy, while an hour walk gets blood flowing, lowers resting stress hormones, and supports nervous system regulation. I finish with 10 minutes of mobility to restore range of motion and signal the body it’s safe to relax.
No fancy recovery gadgets. No overcomplication. Just consistent, proven inputs: cold, movement, sunlight, breath, and rhythm. Recovery isn’t about doing more it’s about doing the right things, repeatedly, to set the tone for the entire day.
