Someone DMed me the other day, broken up about recent world events, saying: “I hate it here.” 😢 I get it. There is so much evil we see on the news every day. But I reminded him that there is also so much love, hospitality, jaw-dropping beauty, and selflessness. Go climb a mountain. Go volunteer. Go create. Go somewhere in the world to tune in with real people, not technology. When I travel I get to witness evidence of love & kindness from the most diverse array of humans. Mainstream news is designed to show us the worst of the worst, the be overwhelmingly negative in order to keep us addicted and desperate to watch more. I don’t believe in sticking our heads in the sand and ignoring what is happening in the world. It’s important to stay informed and educated, to care about the suffering of others (especially those who look & live differently from us), and to feel a responsibility to make things better. 🙏🏼 But I also believe that in order to feel motivated to invest our hear...
