🎓 Alumni Spotlight: Michael Murray ’95 For Michael, his Marist Hockey experience was defined by one powerful lesson: “Being part of a team isn’t defined by ice time, but by willingness.” After trying out as a goaltender in 1991, Michael found purpose in every role he could take on from statistician to PA announcer proving that every contribution matters. That mindset was solidified during Marist Hockey’s 1992 MCHC Championship run and stayed with him long after graduation. The values of adaptability, commitment, and showing up however you’re needed carried Michael through graduate school, a 20+ year career in IT, and ultimately back to Marist as an adjunct professor and volunteer. Today, Michael continues to support the program by attending every home game and cheering on the next generation of Red Foxes. His journey is a testament to the lasting impact of Marist Hockey and to the idea that teams succeed when everyone plays their part. Thank you, Michael, for embodying the spirit ...
