With grades 8–12 away on school trips, our 6th and 7th graders took over campus for a full day of Mini Color War—yes, we said 6-7...again! This tradition gave 6th graders their first real taste of Upper Division Color War and 7th graders had the chance to step up, lead, and set the tone. Students jumped into a mix of classic and brand-new events. They piloted activities we’re testing for the big Color War—like the chair relay race and the “kick the balloon in the bucket” challenge—alongside favorites such as tug-of-war, egg toss, and the ever-iconic frosting facial. Both teams also prepared final presentations that included a Dvar Torah, team banner, and a fully staged lip sync. One of the judges summed it up perfectly: “We were absolutely blown away by the quality of their final products. With just a couple of hours of work time, these kids pre-recorded dialogue for their lip syncs with a thoughtful plot and impressive choreography. They were amazing.” A day of teamwork, creativit...
