The Student Government Association (SGA) at Central Michigan University is facing budget challenges after multiple discrepancies were discovered in its annual operating budget. Over the past semester, Treasurer Carnell Poindexter III has acknowledged some of the errors with SGA’s financial records. Christian Dunn, chief of staff for SGA, said his annual $800 stipend was accidentally assigned to another position on the spreadsheet due to a formatting error. But it was solved quickly, and he received his stipend correctly. “I’m Chief of Staff, I get $800 for the year,” Dunn said. “It was copied down, like, everything was moved down to one (on the spreadsheet).
