Change your brain. 🫂
Nobody’s ever needed a reason to hug – it’s an ancient, deep-in-our-bones instinct. But if you do want a scientific reason, there are plenty to pick from: hugging releases oxytocin (a feel-good hormone associated with love and bonding), it can reduce stress and anxiety, and it can even improve your heart health.
And the best thing about it? Each hug does all that good stuff for TWO people simultaneously. (or three, or four. we’re all about group hugs, too.)
We’ve been thinking a lot recently about something our friend Steve Gross, founder of our non-profit partner, the Life is Good Playmaker Project (lifeisgoodcoplaymakers) said a while back: “it’s the best drug there is: loving human contact.”
Let’s change our brains together. You in?
