Whenever I can’t tell if I’m just being lazy or if my body’s actually begging for rest, I throw this 10-minute rule at it. Literally, I tell myself: just move for 10 minutes, that’s the only expectation.
90% the time, those 10 minutes are all I needed to get rolling. The other 10%, I realize I actually do need to rest, stretch, or focus on mobility so I don’t wreck myself. Either way, it’s a win because I showed up for myself, and that little habit boost seriously levels up your self-confidence. Plus, it’s a sneaky way to keep injuries at bay because you’re actually listening to your body!!
So next time you catch yourself overthinking it, just give yourself 10 minutes.
