That’s never gone away even though Orlando was a smaller field.” Coach @dizneena of the @peninsuladistanceclub is one of the most experienced, influential and quietly impactful leaders in American distance running. Most recently, she had six women and one man qualify for the 2028 U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials at the California International Marathon. The breakthroughs, fast times and PRs by her athletes are the byproduct of more than 25 years of coaching that she spent moving between youth athletes, post-collegiates, pros and building a team that lasts. She was also the women’s head coach for Team USA at the 2023 World Championships in Budapest.
