Holiday desserts pt 8: Christmas Morning BUTTER COOKIESđ§
Theyâre just like the danish ones that come in a blue tin where my grandma stored her sewing kit đ đ§ľ
â¨Ingredients:
â˘1 cup unsalted butter
â˘2/3 cup powdered sugar
â˘Â˝ teaspoon vanilla bean paste
â˘1 ž cups all-purpose flour
â˘1/4 cup tablespoons corn starch
â˘1/8 tsp sea salt
â˘2 tbsp heavy cream
Preheat oven to 325 F°. Cream together room-temperature butter with powdered sugar at medium speed using the paddle attachment of a stand mixer. Mix for 2-3 minutes until the sugar is incorporated and the butter looks fluffy and lighter in color. Combine remaining dry ingredients in a separate bowl; sift flour if itâs clumpy. Lower the mixer speed and slowly pour the dry ingredients, followed by the vanilla bean and heavy cream. It should look creamier than your average cookie dough; itâs more of a batter.
