Meet 3-year-old Sarwagya Singh Kushwaha.
In early December, he became the youngest chess player to earn an official FIDE rating.
Sarwagya, who was born in 2022, is rated 1572 in rapid chess, and was 2.5 years old when he first started playing, according to his father.
Sarwagya plays chess 4 to 5 hours a day to train, and just this year he's beaten adult players rated in the 1500s and 1600s.
At 3 years, 7 months, and 20 days, he beat the previous record for youngest rated player - held by another Indian 3-year-old, Anish Sarkar.
India has been a beast in the chess world recently.
In June, 19-year-old Gukesh Dommaraju beat world
#1 Magnus Carlsen, leading to Magnus' viral table-slam. And last year, Gukesh became the youngest world champion in history.
In case you were wondering, the record for youngest grandmaster is held by an American in 2021, at 12 years old.
Sarwagya Singh Kushwaha is only 3, and his father has hopes he will one day be a chess GM.
